i got quite a few cats with two 7's and 6's in their skills so i don't wanna keep wasting my good ones cuz im running out of cats cuz i keep dying since im going into boss mechanics blind

i'm going to attempt to look up good combos and ways to minmax stuff so i can progress cuz, while learning the boss mechanics in isaac was fun, mewgenics makes it painful lol.

I'm starting to feel very stuck in gameplay progression and it's kinda sad cuz im enjoying the game but i do think it's too difficult for me.
i'm not the kind of person who likes sinking 1+hours into a game and it go to waste.
at least with isaac u can unlock things during a failed run.

gameplay really do be feeling like "do i have a unit that can inflict dmg over time? or do i have anything that can stun/sleep" otherwise it's nope go home at the end of the desert. 😭 genuinely hands down this is the hardest game Edmund has made.

I'm enjoying mewgenics but act 2 is so difficult i genuinely don't know how im gonna get past it without some insane lucky skill rolls on my cats, fought the boss both in the basement and the crater and.. the crater boss was something else. my whole team wiped in seconds.

like the normalisation of autism is great in some aspects but unfortunately other people are taking that like it's a reason to not give support where it's needed, because we should be treated the same as everyone, yes from a ethical sense but also we still need support.

I had issues like that recently where a government official told me i'll get used to doing stressful paperwork, and i had to explain to them, i'm not going to just get used to it, or form a habit, i have to consistently manually cause a urgent panic like situation to get myself do things regularly.

I get it comes from a place of wanting to be positive about autism and want others to see it the same, and that's great but it's become a trend to just over generalise to a point where almost everyone can relate.

I really don't like the sudden trend to make autism this "hee hee it's so cute quirky" a majority of us genuinely have issues that will effect our quality of life, i don't think there is enough focus on what it's actually like to live with autism.

When people say "those tattoos are gonna look horrible when your older" my dude when i'm old and Winkley everyone is gonna look at me like im a poor wet dog and judge me for looking old. so why does it matter if my tattoos look good to other people? 😂

We have a toddler next door that screams like almost 24/7 nonstop (not a normal amount) their speaking also is them screaming :') so i know that pain. worst thing is we can't even complain about noise disturbance because it's a child.

When i was a kid i grew up hating anything romantic on my screen, because it was everywhere. i would refuse to watch any films in the cinema where i could because i knew a kiss was coming eventually 😭 and i hated it.

But we do for sure need more reprentation of different sexualities in childrens media because not every child grows up the same, they don't all want romance in their shows, and they don't all want to see the main character get with the female lead all the time.

Also the ideal that they end up together forever also ends up creating an unrealistic ideal for children, as life is never that simple, imo adventure time was one of the very few children's shows that did that well, it's just a shame movies and shows like that are few and far between.

I really don't think it would bother me as much if it felt like there was good writing there, or there wasn't this stereotype that the guy has to be the "blue boy" one the girl the "pink girly" one or like one more feminine and the other more masculine.

Yeah 100% i agree. i also think it plants stuff in peoples heads that they can't be friends with guys, like there always has to be romantic implications behind it?.
it just makes me sad that it's more about money and marketing a couple.

I feel like as adults that create for younger generations you should do better, and create a more open and less like, pushed narrative of "guy must get with girl"
i'm not saying remove it entirely, but it is always annoying to me how overly pushed it is just purely to get sales.

Does it bug ya'll how they promote predominantly straight couples in children's media only for the purpose of marketing and selling merch to children under the heteronormative expectation of "girl and guy together".
idk that stuff really bothers me lol.
