Ofsted has failed to take seriously the enormous concerns of the profession. It is a discredited organisation with its name continually in the mud. It is incapable of introspection or change – time to #AbolishOfsted and replace it with a new system that is supportive, effective and far.

Been thinking about Pupil Premium recently. The obsession with closing the gap has led to some pretty bizarre practices in schools; the insistence it is a performance measure.
Maybe we think about it the wrong way round. Maybe we should consider what the gap might be if we didn't have the funding.
