on board line 5 right now, and it certainly is getting priority over left turning vehicles!
3 months ago, @ttcriders.bsky.social yelled at city council and made a buzz in the media to make this happen, and elevated the voice of frustrated local riders on line 6.
advocacy works, again and again.
π to these amazing transit activists! If the city follows through with changes to the whole transit network, they will have made transit better for all of Toronto!

Mount Dennis is a really picturesque station.
The bus platform of Lawrence station, seen from the south, looking north towards the station entrance. It would still be another 30 days before it would be used by the public.

Eastbound train pulling into Forest Hill.
This line has quickly proved itself to be godsend.
Its opened up so many new parts of the city when before you'd had to sit (probably stand) on a crowded bus.
Long delayed but welcome all the same.

Union Station is the hub of downtown Toronto, serving hundreds of thousands of passengers arriving or departing by train, bus, and subway. The facility moves vehicles and people in an intricate dance. Check out that dance in this film by Transit Toronto editor James Bow:

line 5 train at an underground platform
over the weekend, line 2 was shut down between st george and keele. after hopping off the 510 at spadina, i took line 1 up to cedarvale and line 5 to midtown instead.
was it faster than walking to st george & doing line 2+1? idk, but it was cold, i was tired, & it's nice to have network redundancy

GO Transit has a weekend Day pass you can get for $10 on their website. You can use that to save some cash. But it requires a mobile phone.
