Icons of the Water Route is an art project and book with 50+ paintings inspired by the Silk Road’s water routes. It blends icons, landscapes, AI imagery, a tale of a smuggled icon, and contributions from writers and artists.

It’s a hard box life.
They say ‘think outside the box’—I can’t even find the box. And when I do find one, it’s stumped upon, wet and lays in the gutter. It probably has a sticker on it saying: ‘I wonder what it’s like to think inside the box.’ Whilst the box thinks to itself: ‘sigh, I was someones box once.’
