I wrote about this a bit in my last book but it really shakes me that a defining feature of this catastrophic era is that we just keep going to work. We work through pandemics, we work through natural disasters, we work through economic calamity, we work through coups, we work, we work, we work.
And 100/100 doesn't just mean finances, it means everything. True partnership, radical vulnerability, total effort.
Sometimes, one of you will be up and the other down, but if you're 100/100 you're both doing everything you can for each other, always.
Otherwise, in THESE times? You won't make it.
It's the 20s. If you want to be in a real relationship, a real PARTNERSHIP, in the REAL world... the only way it can work is if it's 100/100.
And that's not the same as 50/50. It's HARD out here for EVERYONE and if you're gonna make it with someone it'll take everything that you BOTH have to give.
Playing games and taking half measures and trying to exploit power dynamics just means that you're not serious about anything to do with the relationship. You're trying to get something for yourself and it might work short term but that's it.
If you're SERIOUS, it's 100/100 or nothing.
