I am quite candid about my experience of navigating my PhD experience. Listen to myself, our fantastic host Leonie and the other amazing guest on the episode, Burcin.
I felt every single sentence of this video!

to create the space to respond differently to inequalities. Naoimh and I will then discuss what this means for addressing racial inequalities in health and social policy contexts. This event is open to those (policymakers, practitioners and service providers)
Naoimh McMahon will deliver a talk on 'Rethinking the thinking on inequalities' for the Racial Equity in Policy Network on July 23rd at 12.30pm. Her work sets out what might be keeping inequalities in place and, importantly, provides ideas on how to disrupt institutionalised ways of thinking
In light of attacks against CRT both here in the UK and the US, this was a really engaging read! www.thephilosopher1923.org/post/critica...
New in Innovations in Public Policy from @deseonu.bsky.social on anti-racist institutionalism. www.liverpool.ac.uk/heseltine-in.... With racial equity largely silent from the devolution debate so far, how can English regional institutions use their power to reduce racial inequalities?
I look forward to listening to this.

Great first day @PolStudiesAssoc conference, lots of great conversations within and outside of panels. Ended the day with a panel from @PSA_Race inc a paper on institutional racism, similar thoughts to my article on anti-racist institutionalism (doi.org/10.1111/spol.1β¦) #PSA25
What a fantastic offering to us by @folukeifejola.bsky.social, rich insightful reflections and collation of resources to navigate and think through what decolonisation is. Itβs one of the best I have come across. Thank you so much.
Titled 'At the crossroads of racial equity', I will offer some considerations for possible responses at this moment. I will also invite collective reflections on the opportunities and challenges of the different types of responses.

The Racial Equity in Policy Network will be holding its quarterly meeting on the 31st of March at 12noon, as an online brown bag lunch event. I will be curating a space for policymakers to reflect on the current political climate. Register at: www.trybooking.com/uk/EQEX
This is such a great video highlighting the coloniality of power, knowledge and being. It really brings together the work of learning and unlearning I continue to undertakeβ¦
It was a pleasure to be in conversation with this fantastic group of people and to share some of our practices with those who attended the teaching cafe.
