Ein Urwaldrelikt, das Katzenfutter nascht: Der Veilchenblaue Wurzelhalsschnellkäfer ist eine der seltensten der rd. 6.800 deutschen Käferarten und in Deutschland vom Aussterben bedroht. Trotz intensiver Forschung hat ihn kaum jemand zu Gesicht bekommen, nicht einmal an bekannten Fundorten. Das liegt zum einen an seiner Seltenheit, vor allem aber an der versteckten Lebensweise und an den speziellen ökologischen Ansprüchen. Ein Trick hilft jetzt, ihn aufzuspüren
