The reason I fight so hard for trans kids is because I was a trans kid myself. I knew who I was in the year 2000, 12 years old, behind my computer, using the name Erin. I wanted puberty blockers so badly. My body shifted and changed in horrifying ways that I suffered for 15 years over.

I do like body horror and have watched a good deal of it, and this is the most disturbing one I've ever seen.....so maybe give it a miss!!

It's also beautiful. Every shot looks like a memento mori still life painting brought to film - decadent, lush, full of richness and decay. I wish more horror movies were beautiful like this, because it makes the truly horrific scenes that much more compelling. And all practical effects!!

Watched THE UGLY STEPSISTER last night! I have not covered my eyes this much during a horror movie maybe...ever. Absolutely not for the faint of heart or weak of stomach, but SUCH a good movie if you like body horror and smart movies by and about women 🦶🔪

Conventional wisdom is a really fascinating phenomenon. We're at the point where "everyone knows" kids were being rushed into inappropriate gender transition.

There are between zero and 10 recorded cases of this happening (depending on your definition of rushed).

Important insight. ALSO, I have no patience (and I mean ZERO) with people who say "they won't ban birth control." They will eventually try BECAUSE WHAT THEY WANT IS TO CONTROL YOUR BODILY AUTONOMY. We need to be proactive about BODILY AUTONOMY IN GENERAL.
