Why is it, that to me, a trilogy or a 5 book series feels more complete than a duo or a 4 book series?

On the way to work this morning I escorted a koala off the middle of the road, dodged 3 kangaroos... and pulled up in my office carpark to this.
What a weird day today has been. I feel like many more are coming. I'm holding out that when this is done I feel like my space is actually my space, rather than a place for constant silent criticism.

Nischka and Nikita, cuddling on the couch. Last week we discovered that Nischka has HCM, and her prognosis is not the best. She also has what we think is asthma, and a rotting tooth right in the back of her mouth. Only her heart might not stand up to anaesthetic, so we can't do lots with that. :(
Today in thoughts I have late at night. How much privilege do I need to have before I become one of the hated rich? Or perhaps, alternatively, how much shittier do my current circumstances need to be before I stop feeling dreadfully guilty about the plight of others that have less than I do?
