People who are good at things generally do not feel like they are good at it - all that shit about “the more you know, the more you should realize you don’t actually know”. All of us are self-conscious about doing things we care about, and if someone isn’t, they don’t care whatever it is.

What does “socially succeeding” look like to you? Why have any expectation for what an interaction should look like at all, outside of say, an annual review at your job?

Stop masking outside of work. No one is paying you, and most people don’t care how they make YOU feel, so return the energy.

Consider also: we’re all living in some variation of dumpster fire. Nothing is great right now. You just have to weather this moment; you’ll feel somewhat better soon.

Knowing the general region you live in too, have you thought of getting light therapy? You can buy them now.

But you can present actual facts to disprove this? You are always with friends IRL - you go on trips, and you meet up for dinner, often. You’re needed and appreciated at your full time job in a field that is actually doing good in this world. What have you failed at? Meaningfully failed?

Also, I can say this as someone who has spent her entire life being “needed” by a lot of people, and being responsible for the regulation of all emotions for a lot of people… don’t. I’m dead ass. If someone needs you, run. Do not aspire to that.

That’s so fun! I’ve left RE to play in the Heated Rivalry fandom. I’ve written 4 chapters for a very unpopular/niche sort of A/B/O plot… and it’s done better than any of my RE fics, ever. I think I performed pretty well in RE too, which is so sad because it means that fandom is dead.

I don’t think they’ve ever had a sexist interaction with any female character? That’s such a bizarre opinion. Maybe the ending of the original RE4? Doesn’t he dump Ashley off the jet ski after she sexually harasses him? I dunno. Makes me think her “hot takes” are just for attention
