Nothing would surprise me either way, but my bet is that you’re right. I suspect that in a few weeks this will mostly be over, out of the news, and forgotten. Like Venezuela. The long-term issues will be devastating, but it won’t be reflected in the immediate price of gas so most people won’t care.
