Green win shows progressive voters are now voting against Labour as well as Reform Gorton and Denton byelection shatters Labour strategy of neglecting its core base while focusing on Reform defectors

Following up some of my morning thoughts: "Labour’s basic electoral problem comes from the fact that left-leaning voters are indeed choosing to vote against rather than for parties. The problem is that progressives aren’t just voting against Reform. They are now actively voting against Labour."

Made a critical error by engaging in US food discourse. Never do it.

Trump's second term is shaping up to be an all-time disaster purely in terms of *his* policy priorities absolutely collapsing and it will be interesting to see how and when this finally filters into the way it's covered by the media

The United Kingdom is a typical, developed democracy. Elections take place in an environment where the general public have a range of political parties to choose from, operating in a pluralistic media landscape, with totally free, secret ballots, some time after which the new Prime Minister resigns.

I’m leaning into middle age; I potter around furniture shops with my wife and have opinions about roof renovations, it’s great.

Oh, the worst thing about 9 is how slow the battles are 😬 but it’s very good otherwise! 8 has some terrible design choices but is fun (one of the worst plots in the entire series though)

Exeter is the one place I’ve seen that has defeated Uber; they try every so often to break in, but the local taxi firm is so strong, it defeats all challengers.

FFIX is the best one as the way the party wins is by rejecting cynicism and nihilism whilst embracing community and active agency in resisting tyranny. Also just because generally it’s the best FF.
