Thank you for your insightful commentaries. For me the enormity of the task ahead is brought home by the fact that the NSDAP in Germany never had the level of support Trump has. 33% voted for Hitler in 1932. 49% of American voters voted for fascism in 2024.
And then only 33% of Germans voted for Hitler during the last free elections. by contrast, 49% of Americans voted for fascism in 3024
The Nazis and Hitler never received as large a share of the popular vote as Trump's fascist regime received: in the last truly free election in 1932, the NSDAP received 33%. 49% voted for fascism in the US in 2024.

Science is, in essence, designed to separate the true from the false.
Understanding how falsehoods spread is key to the scientific endeavor. It is not a violation of free speech to be proven wrong.
