OUTRAGEOUSly good, surely.
School book fairs!! I forgot about those. Loved them to bits.
Yes. Had this happen yesterday and the numbers have since nearly doubled. No please and thank you.

Nice juxtaposition.
Saw someone mention 'that goblin emperor' and genuinely thought they were talking about a (take-yer-pick-which) politician. Ha ha ha.
(It's a book.)
@dzyrl.bsky.social What could possibly go wrong?
Someone on the team thought it would be highly amusing to reshare this video from 3 years ago when I was informed that I had a vet appointment & treatos were temporarily suspended
As you can clearly hear from the footage, I expressed my thoughts on the matter very calmly
England. Why.
Super! I will tell a big group of Brusselsers I know.
Oh, yay! Will send you a message...
Four Β£5 notes. All the Scottish ones have soothing artwork. The English one has the most grumpy image imaginable of Winston Churchill. No, ta.
From my stash: I forgot that I was recently giving a shedload of fivers and was very surprised that different banks issued different looks. No points for guessing which I'd prefer to look at.
Will everything be in French, petite Fileo?
@dzyrl.bsky.social , this is a friend who's worked her socks off, if you may be able and interested to go. :-)

Compliments don't come much better!
I expected window repairmen at 9.00, now they may come by 11 - then it'll be 2.5 hours of work with windows forced open and buckets of rain coming in. Meanwhile, I just sit here frozen in time like a statue in anticipation of the doorbell ringing so that I can jump.
Love. It.
Yes, met a chap yesterday who was visiting the North of Scotland from down south and had his card blocked due to putting in the incorrect PIN. He couldn't book a ticket home but managed to borrow enough for a train to Edinburgh to visit a bank (and thankfully a bookshop). I've been there many times.
An image of the cover of a book called Grief Counselling And Grief Therapy: A Handbook For The Mental Health Practitioner -- Second Edition by J William Worden.
A couple of images of text from the book, showing the author is referencing studies from the 1960s and 70s.
Picked up a free book, not noticing when it was published (1991). Finger on the pulse, me and this research.
Honestly, Scottish notes are still a novelty for me because apart from visits here, I've/d never seen them in the wild. I also never use cash, so if I am paid in notes I'm like a small child given wondrous, exotic money after its father has returned from travelling the seven seas to sell silk.
I was recently asked if English money was accepted here from someone who had been abroad for a long time. I wanted to pat him on the head.
Lots of brown in mine and my grandparents' houses, but not really orange.
At age 11-13, the route to school often took me past Excelsior High School - aka Rydell High - although by then it had been closed down. So no dancing as we drove past. #Grease2

An image of a very psychedelic Pioneer Girls low logo/very colourful 1970s cover of a book or brochure.
A lo-res image of a young light-skinned girl on a stage wearing some sort of concoction that looks like a red and white stripey dress with an under slip on top of it.
The church group was called Pioneer Girls, founded by some evangelicals called Christian Workers' Foundation. Yep, that's me all over.
I'm fairly certain this photo is from when I had to make a dress at age nine for a Pioneer Girls fashion show.
An image of the DVD for GREASE 2 (1982), featuring Maxwell Caulfield and Michelle Pfeiffer. A bookshelf is in the background.
A collage of two images: Top is the petrol station / garage where Michael the mysterious motorcyclist worked. Below is what it currently looks like as a car wash.
Yesterday I dropped off some books at the local book box and accidentally took something away. Long-time readers will have already been bored by the information that I watched part of the petrol station scene being filmed when I was 8, having snuck away from some kind of church group.
Nee, just nosing about.
Oh, helloooo! I don't use this place for news (I actively block it!) but have missed your cute drawings.
...which is normal here. Almost everything is van β¬10 tot 12ph. I'd almost forgotten what that was like.
