Can someone please point out to my brain that intensively researching the 1750s in order to write a story about my 6x great grandmother Sible Chickenβs childhood, is not on this work dayβs to-do list?

Right?! There was this moment of complete βwhat the HELL is THATβ before the penny dropped π

β¦ I assumed that it was a babyfied name like kittycat, puppy-dog, moo-cow, etc.
The first time I saw one in London I just about fell over π
I also didnβt realise that the white ducks with yellow beaks existed outside of picture books.
Partly this shows just how much smaller the internet was then!
I just saw my first bumblebee of the year, so hereβs a fun fact about me: until I moved to England at the age of 29 I had no idea that bumblebees were a separate species to honey bees. We donβt have bumblebees in my part of Western Australia and I had only seen them in childrenβs books, soβ¦ 1/2

Currently, clicking on βfamily centreβ just brings up the age verification request again for me π
A screenshot of a βthanks for verifying your age!β screen from discord. I have used markup to scribble AAARGH on it along with an arrow pointing at the βDoneβ button.
So like most Discord users in the UK it seems that my age was randomly changed to teen, locking me out of some servers. I managed after much faffing to get it to accept my verification efforts⦠but then the Done button does. not. work.
Not on phone app, laptop app, or browser.

I first read them when my youngest sibling (who was also the first of us to score an autism diagnosis π) was the same age as smol!Ramses. The similarities were *hysterical*.
That is how I am reading them! Theyβre glorious.
Currently re-reading all of the Amelia Peabody books, because Iβm in that kind of mood.
Oh very much so! I know James from the Medieval and Tudor Period Buildings Group on FB π
The way your skill has developed blows my mind. You should be so proud!
Yeah, agreed. I absolutely HATE the βthings that never happenedβ people, but that? That never happened, or it didnβt happen the way he claims it did.
I wrote this last year but I haven't posted here yet.

Please do!! I missed them last time!

@oldenoughtosay.com from my Facebook memories today πππ
This year I am getting my beloved 1980s Playmobil figurines and assorted compatible furniture down from the loft and making them little homes to live in on display. I hauled them over here from Australia, they should get to live again. Iβm 45 and no one can tell me no.

I went on a 5km walk then went to the pub and was NOT PLEASED when my semi-accidental timeline bubble was popped.
