Today marks one year since the release of the very first episode of CANDY! Exactly 357 days ago, I had no idea how this series would be received – or where it might lead. To my surprise, CANDY resonated with so many of you, even though the first episode only scratched the surface of the deeper themes I plan to explore. It means so much to know that even this small glimpse connected with people. Now, as I reflect on that day, I realize something else I never thought of: the premiere date I randomly chose, which is May 1st, would later reveal an unexpected layer of meaning. As it happens, May is Chronic Illness Awareness Month, and that’s a subject the series will touch on more as the story unfolds. First and foremost, BIG THANKS to the incredible voice actors who’ve brought my characters to life. I only hope you enjoy it so far and that the rest of the experience will be somewhat exciting for you. Thank you to the animators for your dedication and hard work! I would be soooo lost without you. To my friends – thank you for your constant support, encouragement, and creative ideas. To the viewers: your insights, your theories (which I love reading!), and your continued interest mean the world to me! To my fellow machinima creators: thank you for every thoughtful comment left under the videos. I know I haven’t been as active in the comments section myself lately – but that’s something I plan to change. You inspire me more than you know! I wish I could be releasing Episode 2 today, but unfortunately, some setbacks delayed production. The good news is: I’m now about 90% through filming, and I’m aiming to release the episode by the end of June at the latest. Thank you so much for your continued patience and support! xoxo April
