Well, sure, my day job is in #csharp as well, and I'm glad for all the 'functional possibilities', but it would still want the focus to be #fsharp, and I'd fear it would be mostly modern #csharp if stated that way. #fsharp needs the spotlight 🦔!

I never understood fully why Microsoft got rid of. NET Standard to communicate the compatibility of features. I thought it was a reasonable abstraction, especially for libraries, instead of having to use (multiple) runtime monikers there.
I agree that git integration is just bloat in any ide - maybe with the exception of seeing local changes and jumping hunks.

I've worked at a company that was taken over by PE. It tried to scale up 5x in 5 years, bought lots of other companies, everything fragmented, the culture got way worse, best coworkers left, and now they're flipping it. I left after 4 years, too naively believing in the vision for too long.
