I cannot adequately explain how fucked up the World Cup situation is wihen the president of a host nation *threatens the safety* of one of the participants (Iran).
The USA should be removed as a host nation and if it's not, the games shoud be boycotted and ANYONE WITH A MORAL CENTER should see that.

It’s crystal clear now that Trump has lost control of this war. He badly misjudged Iran’s ability to retaliate. The region is on fire.

I don’t see a way out of this. Taking the Strait of Hormuz or seizing Kharg island will result in considerable loss of life. We can’t exactly apologize because we killed the Ayatollah. I doubt anyone besides Israel is gonna help us. This is a disaster.

Of all things they could miscalculate, a war with Iran is up there amongst the worst.

Strategy to end war? This war is only going to end in one of two ways.

1. The US Military takes control of every government building in Tehran.

Or, 2. Iran ends it their way.

The unthinkable idea that an American president may invoke emergency war powers and eliminate democratic government in America is not so unthinkable anymore

We have successfully bombed a school, gotten 7 soldiers killed, disrupted the world economy, and replaced an 86 year-old supreme leader with his much younger, more hardline son who is more committed to building nuclear weapons. Operation Middle East Wing is all but complete.
