π§ͺ My first paper has just been published. π₯³
I looked at over 20 years of GRACE and GRACE-FO data to study ice mass change in Antarctica.
πBetween April 2002 and January 2025, Antarctica lost 68.4 GT to 92.2 GT of ice every year.

Israel kills 81 in Gaza as βdifferent messagesβ emerge on ceasefire talks
World Health Organization tells of βhorror on horrorβ in Gazaβs hospitals as medicines run out to treat dying, injured.
I cannot stop talking about Palestine. We should all be talking about what's happening in Gaza and the West Bank.
Will you break your silence?
Would you speak if it was the other way around? I remember everyone being vocal about Ukraine. What is this hypocrisy?

We started a new series on interesting facts about geodesy! If you want to learn a bit more about what we do, or maybe the things you already use like gravity field models, altimetry data, reference frames but feels like a black box to you, this series might be for you!

Line graph time series side-by-side with units of gigatons on a scale from -6000 Gt to 0 Gt. Both Antarctica and Greenland observing long-term decreasing trends. There are larger losses in Greenland, and a seasonal cycle is visible.
Just updated my visualization of changes in land ice mass as observed by GRACE(-FO) satellite in Antarctica (left) and Greenland (right) π§π
