🗓️ Good to get more of my 2025 calendars out across Renfrewshire North & West this week. 🏴
Construction on the e-karting track is set to begin this summer and is hoped to be open by the end of the year so I’m really looking forward to seeing the exciting changes as these plans progress 🏎️🌟
I was particularly pleased to learn about their commitment to promoting inclusivity within the sport, with initiatives aimed at encouraging greater participation from women, girls, and families.
The venue will also feature an e-sports lounge, a bar, and a variety of activities designed for all ages, further enhancing the diverse range of entertainment options already available at Xsite.
Once completed, it will be the world’s largest indoor karting track, spanning over 1,000 square metres and creating approximately 80 jobs for the local area.
It was fantastic to meet with representatives from Xsite Braehead on Friday, to hear about their exciting plans for the year ahead.
I was delighted to receive an update on the progress of their new e-karting track, which will transform the former Snowfactor site.
The Home also organises fundraising events through the year so I encourage everyone to show your support where possible.
I was thrilled to receive a copy of their unique Recipe Book, filled with special dishes from residents, staff, and their chef - can’t wait to try one of the delicious recipes! 🧑🏻🍳
They are always on the lookout for people with diverse backgrounds and skills to join their Board of Trustees and contribute to the management and operations of Snowdon House. If this is something you’re interested in, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
On Friday, I had the pleasure of meeting the residents, family members, staff, and volunteers at Abbeyfield Campbell Snowdon House in Quarriers Village.
The Home had such a warm and welcoming atmosphere about it and our conversations highlighted just how much it means to the local community.
🧑🧒🧒 Our efforts to tackle child poverty are undermined by the UK Government’s cruel two child cap.
🏴 We can no longer wait for Labour to act, which is why the SNP will scrap the cap here in Scotland, lifting 15,000 children out of poverty.
