I've been grading since 6:30 am, with only a break to teach for a few hours. I'm finally stopping now.
In unrelated news, it's National #Absinthe Day!
An amazing meal in New Orleans, just before the world shut down.
Monkey & I are trying to look stylish for our last day in Rome. (I am trying to convince myself that I can still do things even though it hurts like mad to walk.)
It must be working though. I just had some Italians mistake me for a Romani.
Waiting for someone to report it like this:
The Andrew formerly known as Prince has been arrested.
UCD: We called HealthNet & they said you didn't meet the OOPM. We told them we had the letter saying otherwise. HealthNet now says they'll have to run an audit & get back to us.
Last fall, I had HeathNet do an audit of my account. They concluded I met my out of pocket maximum (OOPM) last August.
UCD has been trying to charge me for something last October.
Me: Here's the letter from HealthNet. 1/2
So today when doing my yoga, when I rotate my lower back/hips to the left, the right side of my face goes numb.
That's normal, right?
I have an incredible amount of work to do today and tomorrow.
Shrinking & Bridgerton are back. There are new episodes of Star Fleet Academy and The Pitt.
It's going to take all of my willpower to be a good girl.
Someone wants my po boy & fries!
Paneer in a blistered tomato sauce with sugar snap peas
Grad classes are hours of discussion, not lecture. This instructor, of an ethics and policy class, explained that he couldn't pinpoint exactly when the discussion would include sexuality. How can he know when a student will ask a question about that?
The university cancelled his course.
Demanding information about Jewish employees while ramping up b.s. about a "pure" homeland...Hmmm...where have I seen that before?
The Prime Minister of Norway:
“Regarding the Nobel Peace Prize, I have several times clearly explained to Trump what is well known, namely that it is an independent Nobel Committee, and not the Norwegian government, that awards the prize.”
The issue is that Shitler thinks the Prime Minister should tell the committee what to do. He is a dictator who doesn't believe anything should be "independent" of a nation's leader.
I love this play (Mr Burns: A Post-Electric Play), so I'm excited by the possibility of a movie:
I'm performing with the club this Friday!

My students know I am at a conference, yet a student who turned in a late assignment 12 hours ago emailed. He's sorry to bother me, but have I graded it yet?

MAGA insists artists must perform for "the entire public."
Unless they bake cakes.
A student suggested I shouldn't call roll at the start of class to better "accommodate the late students."
