I’m someone who does indulge in nostalgic media frequently but I always thought it was so weird that people act like it was an objectively “better” time we all need to return to. Nostalgia is a deeply personal relationship with your own individual past, you can’t project it onto society at large.

one of the nice things about getting older is I don’t really stress about getting little scars here and there cause like my whole body is weathering it’s just contributing to my overall patina at this point.

I have this really thin long scar on my boob (cat scratch maybe?) and it looks a silver hair caught in my cleavage so I’m always reflexively trying to brush it away when I look in the mirror. It’s like having a crack on your phone screen but it’s on my body and.. forever.
