This isn't about fraud. It's about punishing families in a desperate attempt to score political points.
Starving children and keeping them from seeing doctors (while billionaires continue to get massive tax breaks) is inhumane and cruel, plain and simple.

The VA is Ripping Away Abortion Care for Veterans... Again | Common Dreams
βThis isnβt just a rollback. Itβs a deliberate erasure of rights that we fought for in the wake of deeply personal and collective loss.
"In effect, it returns the VA to what was once the most extreme abortion ban in the countryβan outright prohibition on care and counseling that applies to every VA facility nationwide, regardless of state law."

At day cares in Minnesota, strangers are showing up at their doors as parents scramble to protect staff
Parents are stepping in to be volunteer teachers or shuttle providers to work to protect an immigrant workforce.
The first time it happened, a man was outside the day care recording. βThereβs nobody here,β he was saying into the camera on his phone.
βCan I help you?β she asked him. The man said he was there because of Nick Shirleyβs video. He wanted to see the children.

It just got harder for LGBTQ+ people to address harassment at work
The EEOC voted Thursday to delete a 200-page document on workplace harassment matters amid a push to prioritize cases brought by White men.
The EEOCβs move to toss the guidance out will be most immediately felt by LGBTQ+ workers, experts told The 19th, but it will also have broader implications for anyone who experiences harassment related to their gender, race or ethnicity while theyβre at work.

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, or EEOC, on Thursday voted 2-to-1 to rescind years-in-the-making guidance that the agency released in 2024 on applying current civil rights laws to workplace harassment.

December Jobs Report: Women Account for All Monthly Labor Force Losses
WASHINGTON, D.C. β In its analysis of monthly data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics' (BLS) jobs report, the National Womenβs Law Center (NWLC) found that 81,000 people aged 20 and over left the labor force in December meaning they are now neither working nor looking for work. These losses were all among women: 91,000 women aged 20 and over left the labor force last month while 10,000 men aged 20 and over joined the labor force last month.
Over 2025, among those 20 and over, women's labor force size increased by just 184,000 while menβs increased by 572,000. This means men joined the labor force at three times the rate of women last year, and womenβs gains in 2025 are but a fraction of the gains women have made in previous years.

How the Minnesota fraud scandal could upend American child care
A viral video has prompted a Trump administration crackdown on funding.
How did unsubstantiated claims of child care fraud go from a YouTube video to influencing federal policy in a matter of days? The answer lies at the intersection of actual pandemic-era fraud cases, a right-wing media ecosystem, and a longstanding conservative antipathy toward subsidized day care.

This video is devastating. Imagine dropping your child off at daycare, only to learn that ICE took a beloved caregiver in front of the children minutes after. Imagine going to work to care for beloved children, only to be ripped away from them and your own family by ICE.

Promoting false information that ties our LGBTQ+ community to the Utah shooting is reckless, irresponsible, and puts trans people especially in danger.
