I know it's a long shot, but I hope everything going on with Lud serves as a sobering reminder of why politics in community spaces, especially niche communities, are important. At any moment, there are politicians and their police deciding people in your community cannot be a part of ANY community.

And that shouldn't be up to them. But, anti-trans laws WILL keep trans people from showing up to locals and events. Mainstream acceptance of patriarchal nonsense will keep women from showing up. Immigration enforcement will keep people of color from showing up.

If you want to make the FGC a safe place for everyone, then you need to, at the bare minimum, at least be aware of the greater machinations working against that. There is a growing number of people who cannot feel safe "just pushing buttons."
