Yes, being out on bond by making bail while still facing federal charges is vastly different from being “released” because protestors gathered. The bond would have been being worked on with the attorney as soon as she was in custody, normal procedure for people arrested and charged with a crime.
My point was they should have shared the real information, and failed to do that. She was not “released”.
