We're celebrating Women’s History Month with these recently digitized photographs of Cuala Press workers. Established in Ireland in 1908, by Elizabeth Corbet Yeats and Lily Yeats, Cuala Industries promoted Irish crafts and employed Irish women. 🧵

Last summer, 23-year-old Irina was riding home on the train when a deranged monster who had been arrested over a dozen times and was released through no cash bail, stood up and viciously slashed a knife through her neck and body. No one will ever forget. There were people on that train. No one will ever forget the expression of terror on Irene, his face as she looked up at her attacker in the last seconds of her life. She died instantly. She had escaped a brutal war, only to be slain by a hardened criminal set free to kill in America came in through open borders. Mrs. Zarutska, tonight, I promise you, we will ensure justice for your magnificent daughter, Iryna.
Trump said in last night's SOTU/rally that the man who killed Ukrainian immigrant Irina Zarutska on a train in NC during what appears to have been a psychotic break was here because of "open borders."
He was born in Charlotte but his name was DeCarlos DeJuan Brown so I guess that's all it takes now

This situation in Day Sq in Eastie is awful for pedestrians. It isn't clear which cars have the right of the way and there are no traffic signals. It doesn't look that bad from above but when you're navigating it, you really have to have your wits about you
