I knew we were cooked as a society when everyone just sorta decided they were sick of dealing with Covid and everyone just decided to pretend like it wasn't a thing anymore.
This is a backhanded move to push transgender and gender non-conforming teachers out of the classroom. At a time when Florida's schools are already facing shortages of thousands of teachers across the state.

In the wake of Bostock, Congress could have redefined Title VII "sex" to include "sexual orientation" and "gender identity." It could have added explicit accommodations for "sexual orientation" and "gender identity." But it did not. See Wittmer v. Phillips 66 Co., 915 F.3d 328, 338 (5th Cir. 2019) (Ho, J., concurring) ("If Congress had meant to prohibit sexual orientation or transgender discrimination, surely the most straightforward way to do so would have been to say so-to add 'sexual orientation' or 'transgender status' or 'gender identity' to the list of classifications protected under Title VII."). Though Congress has the power to amend statutes to add accommodations, EEOC does not. Yet that's exactly what the Enforcement Guidance does. Thus, the absence of any reference to "gender identity" or "sexual orientation" in Title VII's definition of "sex" and Congress's failure to include any specific accommodation for "gender identity" and "sexual orientation" further demonstrate that requiring such accommodations contravenes Title VII's plain text.
Fed. judge strikes EEOC's guidance that interprets Title VII to bar workplace harassment on account of gender identity and sexual orientation. Says that sort of harassement is not on account of biological sex and so not barred.

I urge you, when someone asks how you are, don't lie. This does not mean you have to trauma-dump, but say how you are. Are you depressed? Are you afraid? Are you tired or hopeless or numb? Say that.
Don't normalize or sanitize what's happening to us. It's not fine. We're not fine.
When people ask me how I am, I respond with "terrible" and the horrified reactions from people who share my politics is so confusing. You know exactly what's happening, you know exactly why it's bad, why are you surprised? We should not be lying to our friends for some social politeness.
We need to be less polite - when people ask you how you are, be honest. Don't say "fine," speak to the rage, fear, anxiety you feel. We need to solidify our community which means speaking truthfully and deliberately.

I think it’s important to remind people that Democrats haven’t lost people on transgender rights - these issues are divided without a clear majority on most topics. I remain skeptical of the effectiveness of going anti-trans.
