At the very least it would add leverage to the originally requested apology which should have been central to any settlement. This agreement undermines the whole process of holding people and companies accountable. And the modern pervasiveness of horse-trading "fault" for cash is a societal cancer.

Why didn't some progressive multimillion/billionaire agree to match the Dominion lawsuit demand just to get the company to push this all of the way through trial? (More)
