time for my new favorite tumblr post
time for my new favorite tumblr post
I like how that post already have more likes than this one π
randomly remembering the year I had a romcom side quest during E3 that involved
-Sneaking a non industry person into a party
-Jumping into the Ocean at night with our cloths on
-Running down the street to stop the girl after we said good to make out in front of construction workers cheering

Thank you for being beside me.
Thank you for showing. And sorrows.
Thank you for rare but sweet moments.
Thank you for ever-cold shoulders.
Thank you for giving a chance
To relive all the horrible moments.
Thank you for choosing yourself,
Leading to one true good option.

Swinging and swinging pendulum,
Swinging and swinging my heart.
No matter the sweetness of falling
I'm only true self when I'm out.
Thanks for the crush

Somehow, I'm glad this is over.
Somehow, I'm glad it's not you.
I should have seen this coming
But my eyes were too glued.
Somehow, I'll manage without you.
Somehow, I'll banish the flames.
Somewhat will grow deep inside there.
Somehow I know - that's my fate.
I've taught many people new to gamedev from kids to adult, from a practical educator lens I believe the main difference people credit to kids learning faster or easier than adults is they aren't yet consciously trying to avoid temporarily looking like a beginner at something

βHow your kids treat you when they no longer need you to survive is exactly how they felt treated when they needed you to survive.β
i know my job has given me a, let's say "different" perspective from most people but so much of people's conflicts both internal and external are driven by demanding permanence from an impermanent world and becoming upset that such a thing is impossible
Two panels of the very first Calvin & Hobbes strip. Calvin's father: "they like making games, huh?" Calvin: "Game devs will do anything for making games!" Hobbes, upside down in a rope trap, eating a sandwich: "We're kind of stupid that way."

Opened Bluesky for the first time in months and this is the first post I see.
A majestic, beautiful beetle πͺ²
Life is beautiful πΏ
I need to come here more often π
I was just trying to plug in a usb cable and my cat was sitting right next to me watching. Scene:
Me: argh wrong way
Cat: mrrow
Me: again? how
Cat: mrrrew?
Me: OMG finally got it
Cat: mrrrrew mrow!
And then we both walk away so proud
The way conservatives freak out about sex ed and also about teens not having sex isnβt logically inconsistent for them. They want young women and girls to have kids as soon as possible, in the hope theyβll be confined to domestic life and servitude before developing that pesky βadult independenceβ
This is also why they tell women theyβll be miserable without kids and marriage ASAP even though itβs demonstrably the opposite. Campaign of fear to undermine their autonomy and coerce them into the patriarchal status quo
I knew Chromeo for around 11-12 years now, but only heard "Fancy Footwork" a few months ago. Thought it was a rather new song.
Until today... when I've heard it playing on "The Sims 2" radio?!?! π³ The shock, the disbelief, the astonishment...
