(+) my transness and desire to be a man does not take away that i was socialised and acted as a woman, and still am seen as one by the general public due to how i look. i feel like that’s forgotten in conversations around trans men and our identities.
(+) that doesnt just go away because i say im a man. it’s so conflicting relating to women’s experiences but then having that thought of “well im not one anymore so this doesn’t apply to me” even though im often perceived in a way that *makes* it apply to me
i’m tired so i apologise if im not articulating properly but.
my proximity to femininity and my experience with womanhood did not disappear once i started identifying as a man. btw. i’m still largely perceived as a woman and spent a majority of my life acting as one. (+)
