Isn't the point that there's much that could and does take the human educator away from being inspirational, and AI (and other digital tools) can allow space for more empathy/creativity? Particularly so when, with growing life v study pressure, human to human time is precious.

A great Day 1 of @jisc.bsky.social Connect More 2025. For me, a common thread has been the journey from concept to practical implementation. I've heard how to develop digital skills pragmatically, how to approach digital assessment in practice, and how to do XR and app development in the real-world.

I think that's acceptable preparation. Though another level of preparation for me is taste testing mince pies in November. And I don't think you can properly taste test a mince pie without having a whole one #whoateallthepies

This morning we welcome the HE IT Directors Scotland (HEIDS) group to the @jisc.bsky.social Jisc Innovation Hub at the University of Stirling. The facility allows remote and in-person participation, and it's a glorious crisp winter's day. I'm looking forward to showing off some of the kit. #edtech

There's an interesting question about being able to distinguish hearing aids and earbuds, thinking about it. Those technologies should probably converge. I'm guessing Apple don't do discounts on a single earbud?

I'm not sure I like the idea of hidden earbuds. I don't want to be talking to someone who I'm not sure can hear me. At least with the plastic pipes I can wait until they remove them.
