Exorcist 3, though, might be a bit BETTER than its reclaimers are already saying. I must begrudgingly admit… Catholics are really good at horror.
Exorcist 2 is going to be my “the consensus is correct” movie for the fall, with apologies to Martin Scorsese and whoever else is a reclaimer. Call it “so weird!!!” all you want, but I can’t even really enjoy that about it because it’s also trying and failing to be a drama.

There’s nothing particularly novel about this latest entry. I suppose I’m just a bit baffled that this awful, corrupt year for the entertainment industry hasn’t inspired people to be just a BIT more introspective.
I only bring all this up because I’m consistently amazed by how much nerds absolutely NEED every single person to take their interests with absolute, uncontested reverence.
Like, I’m a gamer but I know my dad is past the point where he could figure out how to play them. Why is that a rare take?
Nolan hasn’t made a CBM in over a decade and is obviously referenced by Marty because he’s making money for a historical drama right now, and there are all these rinse and repeat tweets from people who think they’ve hit a home run by calling him a hypocrite.
There should be a museum exhibit dedicated to the fried brain tweets that happen every time Scorsese breathes these days.
I’m certainly still going to watch it but wow, that’s a shame to hear. Unlike you, my only Poe experience is with The Mask of the Red Death and The Cask of Amontillado so maybe that will help me a bit. Fingers crossed.

I fall somewhere in the middle of reactions to E6 but I do think Storer does a really good Rachel Getting Married impression. The chaotic cross talking totally works.
Folks have gotten weird about Jamie Lee Curtis in recent years but I have to admit her performance in The Bear is… a lot.
