Agree. I think it’s inevitable that great damage is going to be done to our economy. I just hope we prevent them from avoiding ownership of the consequences of their policies. So afterwards when the pendulum swings back we retake Congress with a large enough margin to accomplish lasting solutions.
We need to curtail their efforts to reassign responsibility for how bad it is about to become. The fallout from how the tariffs backfired during the Great Depression directly lead to FDR and the gains that made the New Deal possible. History is repeating. We need to not let the suffering be in vain.

I try to remind myself that there is a massive difference in what he claims he will do, and what he is capable of. There are limits and the courts aren’t lost yet. He has a track record of incompetence, and is surrounded by idiots. He wants the credit he gets with his base, more than actual change.
