This Labour Govt are just Cameron Tories
This Labour Govt are just Cameron Tories
Honestly people seeming surprised that Popes and Cardinals hold homophobic views is exhausting
Its fascinating that the law apparently now trumps scientific biological fact. Once again, I am glad I did not vote for the cowards within this Labour government
No argument from me
Itβs times like this when you realise how backwards the mainstream isβ¦ in almost every publications thereβs articles about fascism and authoritarianism and autocracyβ¦ I feel gifted with foresight because Iβve seeing the signs for like 10 years and reading about it and Iβm only a therapist in the UK
So they are apparently introducing anti-misogyny classes into schools. As you may imagine comments beneath are going all lives matter on this with βwell it should misogyny and misandryββ¦ heres my issueβ¦ both are wrong. Both should be combatted. One is far more deadly than the other
I think it helps to speak with Queer elders.
They have a wealth of experience and knowledge.
I used to say the Tories knew the cost of everything and the value of nothing. I believe the same can be said for the Labour Government as well
With every passing day I feel happier I did not vote Labour last July
So I am not remotely surprised by any of the recent announcements.
For about a year before the election last July, Labour consistently said they would be more competent and deliver. That was their message. They didn't say they would be competent and deliver a different program than the Tories. They said they would do what the Tories were doing but better...
Some atheists can be assholes too
youtu.be/n09JGRMfMds?...
I didnβt vote for Labour because I did not remotely believe they would stand up for LGBT+ folk beyond slogans and BS rhetoric. Itβs always sad to be right time after time

I just the most ADHD thing π I got a bottle of Pepsi from the fridge and took it into the living room. Went back to the kitchen for something else then went back to the fridge to get my bottle of Pepsi to take into the living room...
Well America looks terrifying right now
I feel that the US do do therapy better in terms of how they view it and offer it compared to us in the UK. It definitely feels all down to money here and there ain't a good system on offer
I've seen 3 job adverts for talking therapies service in the NHS and they're offering person centred therapy for 8-12 sessions but only after you've done a person centred experiential counselling for depression course.
I'm very happy I get to do 20 sessions of person-centred therapy in my service
Also there's a chapter where he basically roasts the idea of shortening, manualised therapy like NICE-recommended therapies because they focus on techniques over the relationship and it made me happy
I am listening to Irvin Yalomβs new book and honestly I feel like I get so much closer to the essence of therapy than any actual textbook on the topic.
I think therapy, especially in the UK, needs to shift towards his type of books over expensive textbooks with their academic layouts
Also going Star Wars nerd for a moment: I keep seeing people say Jedi were not wiped out by Order 66 because these characters survived⦠if you go from 10,000 Jedi to like less than 100, I think that equals wiped out
British media: why are reform polling so high?
Me: because all you do is give a party with 5 MPs the same airtime and column inches as the official opposition with over 100 MPs. How does Farage get a call in session on LBC with 5 MPs.
Human beings have rights. Books, even 'holy' books, do not.
The only acceptable response to religiously motivated violence like this is for societies to reassert the importance of human rights, human lives, and freedom of expression.

Imagine trying to claim you are an organisation that support women and the LGB against the T because you care about the LGB and Women's rights and then choose to support Trump, fascists and Reformers...
At no point, should a state be allowed to execute its own citizens for any reason other than the preservation of life so armed police defend themselves or civilians. That is why there should be strict rules and ethics around those choices. The death penalty should never be legal again in the UK.
I am always amused when those claiming to be Christian get mad then folks of the Cloth say Christ-like things about mercy and compassion and love.
