Maybe what I said confuses some, because several of my drawings are described by myself as "requests" or I credit another person for the idea, character, etc. If I talk about a request, I'm talking about a work made for free, which in my case I do for friends, acquaintances, etc. (2/3)

It depends on the intention.
Recreating the art style of a work or character is an intention in itself diametrically opposed to drawing it in your own style.
One is an exercise in "recreating" something, the other in "reinterpreting" it
Both can be appreciated on their own, but I prefer the second
