I think my resolution for this year is to do more personal projects even if they’re small or self-indulgent, as this year was pretty bad creativity speaking, and I wanna bring that joy back. I also want to dive into sewing this year too, I think that would be really fun😎
I think the end of the year just brings out that existential feeling sometimes. I'm once again struck with the realization that the things I kept putting off for another month didn't happen in 2025 either. Whether it was writing my original manuscript, cosplay, the live streams I wanted to experience or even places I wanted to visit, some things just never moved forward. There are still SO many experiences I'm grateful for and highlights I want to review as we head into 2026. And yet, the restless feeling lingers. I could have used my time better even if I have plenty more. I don't know if that feeling ever goes away but I'm doing my best to cope. I often worry that the people I want to share my achievements with won't always be in my life and it does make me a little anxious. I think I can be very forgetful even if I don't want to be but manage to lock in when I know there's a deadline approaching. I'm not always successful, case in point being the Squidmas themed video I had planned. If it had come out on the special day, there'd be a majority of people who still had to watch it later so I tried not to feel too badly about things. I think of everyone who is feeling alone for the holidays and might have needed it. But then, what if people actually didn't like the direction of this one? I just pushed through and kept working. But also made time to spend with my family while I'm fortunate to do so. And on top of that the world is changing a lot. I just hope that I get to pursue my other dreams while I can. Thank you all for supporting me and making the collaborations with so many wonderful artists possible. I'm excited to see what Splatoon will become in the next couple of years ahead.
