Back from a London vacation. Our AirBnB was IMMEDIATELY beside the Buckingham Palace barracks. Our bathroom overlooked the courtyard where the band practiced. Open the bathroom door at the right time and you would be treated to a full marching band greeting your arrival -- a lot of pomp for a pee.
I believe it’s your job as a free thinker to continue thinking freely. Which means not listening to that person unless what they said resonated. But also I hope you told them off.

Apologies to anyone heard me talk too excitedly about plasma: the 4th state of matter. I really do find it that amazing but sometimes I get too enthusiastic.
I was explaining it to a TV producer for work today and she was like "WOAH this is fascinating" but also "WOAH you are really into this." lol
Sent a letter to the Times today because they forgot plasma is a state of matter. I work in a plasma lab. I take it personally.

My husband has asked me to relay his regrets at interrupting our meeting. He wants you all to know that when he shouted, "Who's a little puff ball?" he was talking to our cat and not to me. For my part, I will be sure to close my door when I'm in a Zoom meeting from home going forward because while my husband swears that won't happen again I have been with him long enough to know that he might very well forget 2 days from now and bolt up the stairs saying any number of things to our cat. lol

It’s hard raising parents. I thought I’d taught them not to open the cookie bag like a wild animal
but here we are, after they came to stay with us for Thanksgiving.
It’s my one year anniversary at my job. I have learned a lot. The most important thing is this: you do not know what lies around the next bend. Things might look be bleak today but the dice will be thrown again tomorrow and the next day and the next.
