32 years ago, Elgar’s Cello Concerto was the first piece performed at The Anvil, Basingstoke, with Julian Lloyd Webber as soloist.
This Sunday, it returns to the same stage with Adrian Bradbury, alongside Elgar’s deeply personal The Music Makers.

In Oct 1988, BFC toured The Music Makers in the Netherlands with the Brabant Orchestra, performing four concerts across the country.
Conductor Norman Del Mar loved ice cream, so the Chorus ordered the biggest one - with sparklers.
