Albertans who apparently responded to the NP’s “poll” might be oblivious to the fact that the NP is majority owned and controlled by a US hedge fund with direct ties to the Republican Party, the ones actively trying to undermine Canadian sovereignty and democracy.

For clarity - there are multiple graphic novel versions of 1984 (TIL!) Calgary Board of Education and EPSB removed a different version (this one) www.amazon.ca/George-Orwel... But it's unclear from Rocky View Schools' list which version they removed. #AbEd
Just stopped by the public library to pick up the removed books that I was able to request from nearby branches. #AbLeg #AbEd
Honestly, I am absolutely disgusted by academics suggesting that AI can do the reading and writing for you. At a certain point, what you're bragging about is fraud. And in a broader sense, what you're contributing to is the erosion of knowledge and the destruction of trust in academic publishing.
My latest newsletter: the deadline for a deal between Ottawa and Alberta on industrial carbon pricing is just weeks away. The oil and gas companies and their political proxies are already trying to tilt the table in their direction — and fudge the facts.

It’s easy. Like this: 😑
That said, I’m not romantic about anything really, so maybe I’m not the best person to ask that question.
Jason Kenney: Great ad!!! 🔥 Looks like the CAF has decided to end the disastrous branding as a Trudeau era DEI project, and focus on recruiting Canadian patriots who want to be warriors defending our country! 🇨🇦 💪🏼 More of this please! Quoting Canadian Armed Forces: Looks like a cutscene. Feels like a calling. This is where strength and determination meet discipline and action. This is the CAF. This is what it looks like when a country shows up. Learn more and apply now: Video clip below.
Per Jason Kenney, a former defence minister, only straight white men can defend the country. Everything else is DEI.
“Neither side seems to prioritize the long-term success of this province, nor the financial stability of the current economy. “
I dunno man, Nenshi is the only one I hear who talks about business wanting stability and predictability, and avoids chaos.
I’m an ideologue? And here I was just following peer reviewed evidence.
Good words of warning here. AI models are generally designed to read and incorporate (and, in a sense, believe) virtually everything they find online, with very few guardrails. The information can get divorced from its original source, context, & rebuttals or retractions. That's a really big problem

I love the phenomenon of a word crossing languages back and forth to achieve a different meaning.
What books did Alberta schools *actually* pull off the shelves in response to a provincial order? It took a lot of work to find out. We still don't have a complete picture. And some schools are still pulling material.
Free speech advocates say it's ban unmatched in Canadian history. #AbLeg By me.
"UCP received dozens of donations in 2025, totaling approximately $90,000, from PR firms, consultant lobbyists and corporations that were also actively lobbying the Alberta government"
Albertans will get exactly what they pay for!

“A Canadian oil and gas industry group is backing a proposal to consolidate Alberta's two largest river basins, a move that would make it easier for industry to transfer water in that area without requiring legislative approval.”

With the enshittification of everything technological that I once loved, the appeal of all things analog and offline is getting irresistible…
Our kids were in Immersion and did okay, no special supports needed thankfully. Friends had a kid who had a learning disability in FI and it took a lot of their time and work to get the school staff on board for proper testing in French. You are your child’s best advocate. Don’t stop.
Remember folks, with Smith and the UCP, the cruelty IS the point. Stop voting for hate and cruelty.
"We want to create pathways so people can be self supporting"
When challenged on her claims about AISH, Smith finally told the truth.
She doesn't believe everyone on AISH needs to be on AISH and she's looking for off-ramps.

Reminder to my fellow Albertans who may be cheering on WTI prices to alleviate our provincial budget shortfall: The vast majority of Alberta oil sold is bitumen (aka Western Select) and is sold at a DISCOUNT to US refineries who can upgrade bitumen to WTI standards.

Context: Alberta bitumen is NOT WTI, and is actually Western Select, sold (at a discount no less) to US refineries capable of upgrading bitumen.
Bruce McAllister's rant is quite the contrast to the message Danielle Smith was spreading with Bruce when she was trying to get elected in 2022.
"Alberta is a place where we invite people from around the world, doesn't matter your background, your religion…"

Begging news outlets, especially @globalnews.ca, to refuse to report Alberta government propaganda around drug death rates without context.
1. Alberta's capital Edmonton is breaking fatality records. Report that first.
2. Lethbridge is the 4th biggest city in the province. It still has...
Here's the point to remember about the brutal negative revisions in today's job market report: They aren't saying the labor market showed green shoots that withered. It's saying that there never were any green shoots. They were an illusion.
This should be a huge fucking wake-up call to every level of government playing footsie with fascists and their pals in ‘law enforcement.’
These people are by far the biggest threat to public safety - not protesters, not encampment dwellers, not people using drugs. Fascists.
