🌳#EppieCallumsOak is said to have sheltered both #RobRoyMacGregor and #BonniePrinceCharlie! The tale goes, Eppie, the keeper of the Oakbank Inn, grew the tree from an acorn in a teapot on her windowsill.

Now in a private garden, it’s still easily admired when visiting #Crieff

A 'phoenix' yew tree, Perthshire. A sculptural survivor. Many trees in Scotland's climate continue to grow thanks to unlikely physiological adjustments to their new positions. They're often called 'phoenix trees' i.e. they rise from the ashes! Amazing resilience.
