Very excited to see this book published. It is a great book with clear CPD for all Religion and Worldviews teacher, including my work on assessment!

Bet this will be a corker!
I’m excited to share that my book Secondary RE in Action is available to preorder.
The book brings together the latest research on the subject with practical strategies for how to teach RE.

My school is looking to appoint a humanities teacher.
The role would involve teaching both RE and Geography. This is a really exciting opportunity to join a school that highly values the humanities.
ECTs welcome to apply.

So many in #TeamRE and the wider #edutwitter community have been shocked to hear about Dawn’s accident.
A fund has been created to support her and her family at this time. It might be something you consider giving to or sharing.

I’m so sorry to hear this Roy. Sending my love and best wishes to you both.

Here are some suggestions organised into broad areas
(Google docs now have a nice header option and a non-document layout which is brilliant!)

Using scholarship & texts in RE #TTRConnect

exec. Shared so many ideas. With all the sessions today brilliant to see how people generously share & build on #TeamRE ideas. Strong themes coming through today
Final RE specific session included a discussion about scholarship from @joekinnaird.bsky.social, an exploration of the work being undertaken by Charlotte Newman at her Trust and identifying and teaching powerful knowledge from @goochkt.bsky.social
Thanks Mary!
I regularly come back to this with @joekinnaird.bsky.social & @stevewillshaw.bsky.social about how to raise the game for KS3 RE.
Joe shows it's possible to include scholarly material, eg from Karen Armstrong & make it accessible for all!

The NATRE exec have written a series of blog resources sharing how they lead and deliver RE in their schools. Here’s a great example from @joekinnaird.bsky.social about effective questioning and removing barriers to participation in the classroom
Awesome article on RE Hubs, by Claire Clinton, for HWRK Magazine. Share to all your favourite RE people on here!

Haven't deliberately missed anyone. If you post (mostly) about RE then I'll add you.

So good! Only had a few listens but loving Luther and Squabble Uo
Two of my favourite artists releasing albums on the same day. Life is good.
I submitted my evidence this evening. I mostly focused on the anachronistic, fragmented system for local RE curricula and the need for a National Curriculum for RE.
I know this is not a priority for the DfE but, unless we take the opportunity to speak up, the current system will stagger on forever.
This is a superb contribution from Kathryn and essential reading for those in the subject community.
Things need to change in RE. In my view, a national curriculum for RE is the change needed.
I am shamelessly resharing my blog on why I think it is time for a National Curriculum for RE. #TeamRe

This is an excellent thread on the arguments for and against RE having a national curriculum.
An example of the substantive part of a possible RE national curriculum for ks3.
You can still teach 6+ religions through these ideas.

Even though it is week 578 of this half term, I am still just about managing to blog each week.
This one is on assessment and RE with practical examples from my classroom. The example is from non examined KS4 RE. #TeamRE

10 years ago, I moved to London to train as a teacher and did my PGCE at the IOE.
Today, I’m back and working with the next generation of RE trainee teachers.

This has been some of the best RE CPD I’ve had.
Huge credit to @karensteele.bsky.social to organising 🙌

If you had a CPD session with ECTs focused on lesson planning, what would you do?
Thank you so much for all of this Marina, really helpful!
