They were always lying about being anti-war and anyone who was sincerely anti-war was well aware of this from the beginning.

They might even win but what does that ticket winning get us in โ32? My guess is MechaAndrewJackson.

Save it for at least 2 years or you played yourself.
we didn't finish denazification. we didn't finish desegregation. we didn't finish reconstruction. every opportunity for transformative change was deliberately sabotaged by american leaders who knew their wealth would not survive a world freed from eugenics, white supremacy, and war profiteering.

I concur. George is Chicago jazz royalty. His brother is Von Freeman and his nephew is Chico Freeman.

Birth Sign. George Freeman guitar. Billy Mitchell drums. Sonny Burke organ. Robert Pierce organ. Von Freeman tenor sax. Maurice McIntyre tenor sax. Lester Lashley trombone.
This could be a late, late contender for my 10 favourite finds of the year list. Itโs an absolute belter. Freeman is on other albums I have (which I now need to revisit) but this was his first lead gig. Chicago soul jazz but a couple of AACM alumni pop in to bring a freer, deeper edge to one track.
George is a legend. Played with Charlie Parker and played with guys from Tortoise. I donโt think anyone else can make that claimโฆ

This album came out 25 years ago today. It was our last.
Thankfully I donโt know that jingle and certainly wonโt be looking it up now ๐
This is what I mean. I apologize and hopefully you wonโt miss it too much.
Itโs weird because I know art is subjective and Iโd hate to disappear someoneโs favorite song, but definitely American Pie by Don McLean.
As conditions continue to deteriorate in this country, I hope (and believe) that this brand of liberal apologism wonโt be able to survive much longer. The things they expect people to forgive have become much too extreme. The cognitive dissonance seems work less on the Gen Zs.
