It didn’t stop me from voting for Harris but my politics make me predisposed to do that; yelling “the economy is good you idiot” at someone who has the same experience as me with different politics doesn’t seem like an effective strategy.
It’s hard to square being told we have a strong economy when it feels like everything is more expensive. Like my 401k went up and thus my networth increased, but that isn’t of much solace when I spend more of my paycheck on food and housing than I used to.
