Some rare pics of the 61st Sentai’s Mitsubishi Ki-67 Hiryū or Peggy twin-engine bombers in 1945. My favorite Japanese army bomber, was fast well protected however came in too little too late to affect the war
A6m2 and A6M3 Zeros and B5N2 Kates conduct landings on the carrier Zuikaku, late 1942.
A Mitsubishi A6M5 Model 52 Zero taking off from a Hiyo/Jun’yō-class carrier
Mitsubishi G3M “Nell” twin-engine bombers escorted by Mitsubishi A6M2 Model 21 Zero fighters in early 1942.
Kawasaki Ki-100-I Otsu of the 5th Sentai at Kiyosu near Nagoya 1945.
Kawasaki Ki-100 one of famous "accidental aircraft", created not because of detailed planning, but as some stop-gap.
Factory, that made inline engines for Ki-61 fighters, was destroyed by US bombers. But they've managed to attach radial engine to its fuselage, creating Ki-100.
Excellent, I will update the video description to incorporate this accurate info
My pleasure, I have also uploaded the footage showing the attack on the USS Edsall youtu.be/cFMgKK96EOg?...
