So Trump now posts an AI video with him fighting and punching a Canadian ice hockey player and scoring the winning goal for the gold medal? We should hold every Republican culpable for not seeking the removal of this obviously deranged man.

Each one represents one person, one life, and one tragic story.
Each one we need to preserve.

A great blue heron sits in the sun at the edge of a swampy area. Its head is profile-on, but its back is somewhat facing the viewer, giving a good view of a gap of long narrow gray feathers that seems to cover its upper back (probably actually covers the upper wings)
Good morning!
How are you holding up?
What are you up to today?
Yesterday we went to Nisqually to get some sunshine and see some birds.
This handsome fellow was 10' off the boardwalk. Look at his cape!
In addition to lots of waterfowl, the birders were out in force. Lots of massive camera lenses :)
A couple jaunty bright-pink zinnias rise above pots of orange and yellow marigolds -- lots of tiny flowers -- and herbs in shades of pink and lavender.

I'm excited -- I now have all the gear to set up my new seedling station in the basement!
I will be starting lots of signet marigolds, among other things.
This photo from last summer includes signet marigolds, zinnias, and herbs.

Delicate pale purple flowers that look very similar to crocuses. The centers are paler, and are brightened by yellow stamens. The backdrop is dry earth and dead leaves.

The autumn crocuses declare that autumn is here :)
(Colchicum autumnale - not really crocuses!)
I have them in areas that are dead dry all summer; like the hardy cyclamen, the flowers are a harbinger of fall :)
Four amber-burgundy leaves against a background of dark and green grass. The leaves have three dominant lobes, with smaller points.

It's definitely feeling like autumn here.
The highbush cranberry is giving the first bit of autumn color.
I love autumn, even if ours tends to be rather abbreviated for us.
Aside from all the other obvious points it strikes me as particularly cringeworthy to feel you need to put your own face on BOTH sides of the coin
