Saw this when I was a kid n I still have Judy's performance scarred into my mind n heart. She was brilliant comedian n of course music..but it was her dramatic roles that have stayed with me all these decades. Thx for posting

She does great coming of age. Famous for her adult trilogy though..Old Filth, Last Friends, Wooden Hat...
Though may have liked even more...Caruso's Daughter or Queen of the Tambourine. Can't miss w her though. Enjoy!!

Adore Pym. Last great I read, All Quiet on the Western Front. Have read quite but WW1, F and NF but this grabbed me. Somehow brings all the horrors n foolishness of wars...subtly if that's possible. Knowing how it all was to end of course, still a page turner. Smooth skilled story teller.

Think Pym has the lightest touch of her sister writers while bringing forth many of same themes. Just like I'll take Penelope Lively over Penelope Fitzgerald...though luv all these writers

Love Jane Gardam!! Accidentally read 4 in a row once, never have done that before. She makes it easy to want to stay in her world or at least find out what is to happen in her world. Verona might be my fav

Have never seen this, thanks. Dancing with Buddy is quite accomplishment but she is giving off a little early Joan Crawford dance style here (not a compliment but I adore Missy anyway n always)
