It's brilliant ๐
And there's plenty of that genre of radio on BBC R4Extra, like the Goon Show, Steptoe and Son etc etc
I can imagine.... ๐ณ
On 15m, it didn't help that 3ad2USU and an 8Q7 were also on 21.090, plus several stations just calling CQ - a DL, a PY and a couple of UA's.
Guess they'd worked 3Y, but rhen didn't return to 074
Not yet looked at 30m, but will now. Im just over the moon to have got them at all.
There's a large granite hill close to me, right in the path to them. And they'd be off the end of my dipole for 30/40m
They were very strong on 17m this morning, but down to -19 on 15m. Didn't help that an IK1 started calling on their TX QRG.
Not yet heard them on 10 or 20m.
17m was a good contact, but i was worried about the 15m one as they got QRMd, so it took a few tries
Yay! Nice one ๐
And I can now breathe a sigh of relief, as my 17m and 15m Q's have shown up.
Got both this morning in quick succession
Fingers crossed for you Kay ๐ค
It was pure luck for me.
When I've seen them, the section from 2500 to 3000 has been packed. Very difficult to actually find somewhere clear
Fingers crossed
I've been trying different bands for the past few days, but just struck lucky on 12m today.
The pileups are huge, but I'm hoping it'll ease in the coming days
Wow, 3 bands is nice...
I will chase them on other bands too, but I'm just happy to have got them at all.
I've got a large granite hill in the way, so it's not an easy path for me
I saw you get called.... well done ๐
They were strong on 17m around 0900UTC, but so many callers, and loads of idiots calling on their TX on wrong period
My heart is finally slowing down...
Managed to work #3Y0K on 12m FT8. Almost gave up, but persistence paid off.
Note... they are using F/H mode, and callers that weren't were not completing.
An ATNO for me, so wll happy with that ๐
Well, that was a shambles... ENGvITA in the #6nations rugby.
A disappointing game
It really was an amazing game though ๐
An excellent game by Scotland, but a shame they let those last few tries succeed ๐
I guessed so
I know how that feels.
In my case, morphine helped, in that it overcame that stir crazy feeling, but I guess it doesn't have the same effect on you
It'll take a few weeks to ease off too. Pain is nature's way of telling you to slow down
And there were many ๐๐คญ
This was well after her "fame" on TV. She was always one of those "don't you know who I am" types. Most she came into contact with were too young to have any clue as to who she was
She did, especially towards her husband Johnny
She lived in Guernsey for a while. Wasn't popular with shopkeepers, and had a reputation of being obnoxious
Can't see much getting done here this afternoon.....
Two games of #6Nations rugby to enjoy, so the coffee pot is on, and we're settled in to watch
I can imagine.... not had a broken collarbone myself, but i know many that have, and all said it was most uncomfortable
Oh boy! You do get yourself into some trouble at times Pete.
Hope the fracture isn't causing too much pain. Must be a nuisance when trying to sleep
Yup, when you're working, but once you retire, you'll realise that's not so good ๐
