It is 10:06 p.m. on a Sunday night. I stepped outside to look at the stars, and I hearβ¦a tuba, from several streets away. No other instruments, just tuba. Must be a kid practicing but still, what a strange thing to hear at this time of night.

For the past year, Iβve been putting out 1-3 zines a month, and sending them to my subscribers. I have three more zines (the final batch) in progress, which will be sent out come mid-February. Now is your last chance to get in on it. Details here: ko-fi.com/s/74c3f4d4c8

Gay people buying into this TERF bullshit about βgametesβ or whatever are the biggest βuseful idiotsβ ever for the right because if you read this argument in even a little bit of detail you can see itβs easily usable to outlaw gay marriage and gay sex too.
My husband does most of the grocery shopping in our household, lol.
if they want to go back to the 1950s, weβre bringing the cuisine back to the 1950s too. you put me in the kitchen, I will spend 100% of my time in there finding how much horseradish and shrimp I can put in Jello before God personally comes down here to stop me.
One of my least favorite mental illness things is when Iβm experiencing what I have dubbed βdepressedlessness,β where Iβm all antsy and need! to! do! something! now! but whatever I try to do kinda sucks and isnβt enjoyable for long. And Iβm feeling that right now. π©
To create as much justice and safety as possible, we have to defy authority and disobey, writes @mskellymhayes.bsky.social
So tomorrow Iβm going to show him the Poetry in America episode about that poem. And I am 100% going to cry. 4/4
Iβm thinking about this because my oldest kiddo is reading about the second great wave of immigration to the USA c. late 1800s for history class, and there was a bit about the Statue of Liberty and Emma Lazarusβ poem βThe New Colossus.β 3/4
US history has been one of my special interests since I was a child, and I know a lot of both the good & the bad. Yes, there has always been a very strong presence of colonialism, racism, xenophobia, et. al. But there has also always been a strong current of progressivism and freedom fighters. 2/4
Iβve seen a lot of people in the last few days/months saying something like βif you, as a USAmerican, have ever had any warm feelings about this country or thought of it as anything other than a fascist state, you just donβt know your history.β And Iβm sorry, but no. 1/4
Thanks! Iβll check it out!
Apparently today is Blue Monday, so I am using it as an excuse to post this song.

These executive orders on banning federally funded entities from recognizing trans people or disallowing them from using the bathroom are not self-executing or immediately enforceable. They require formal rule making at a minimum. They are a scare tactic. Ignore and do not comply in advance.

You won't be any better at fighting what's coming if you burn yourself out and spend all your time feeling bleak and hopeless, and the people telling you that it's all despair now probably don't have anyone's best interest at heart.
To confront billionaire authoritarians, economic inequality and fascism, we need to build power. In MLK's words "We can all get more together than we can apart; we can get more organized together than we can apart. And this is the way we gain power."
A small thing in light of this shitty news, but it would be lovely if today were the day this GoFundMe for TWIN PEAKS actor Carel Struycken and his wife, who lost their home in the Eaton Fire, reached its target www.gofundme.com/f/support-ca...
βEveryday, once a day, give yourself a present. Donβt plan it, donβt wait for it. Just let it happen. It could be a new shirt at the Menβs store. A catnap in your office chair. Or two cups of good, hot black coffee.β
So long, David Lynch. May your memory be a blessing. π€
So this piece features two different types of Xerox transfer techniques: the packing tape technique, and the gesso technique.
(once I finally get the New Wave anthology out; I am working on it, itβs just slow going cuz Iβm Doing It (all) Myself). But the bonus thing is that now I get to do real Xerox art again, at home no less!
My big Xmas/birthday gift from my family was a new copier/printerβthe kind that actually uses toner! And can print a much higher volume of stuff faster and better! Iβve got big plans for it, mainly involving zines, and getting Bone & Ink Press back to what I always meant for it to be

Itβs my first completed art piece of 2025!
I also made a companion playlist. Itβs got one song from each artist or release, excepting the two various artists releases.

I realized two things while compiling these listsβ
1. Holy shit, I heard a lot of new stuff this year. (These lists are long!)
&
2. My musical tastes truly are all over the place. Iβve got everything from hardcore punk to ambient country to indie pop to soul to electronica & so much more.
