Went for a beautiful walk on a trail today. I'm always torn between taking pictures and just letting myself experience nature. Experiencing nature won out today. Still wish I would have taken at least one. On the bright side, I did see two woodpeckers.
Attempting to make a layered baked apple crisp cake for my dad's birthday. Cakes are in the oven, so I'm taking care of the dishes before I start on the filling.
Had a short work shift, played a bit of Palia, even read a couple of chapters of A Discovery of Witches
Ending the night with a couple of writing exercises :)
🌸Overwatch 2 (sometimes)
🌸NHL/PWHL/Hockey (in general)

Show me a picture on your phone that has your energy that isn't a selfie.
Made it through the work day. Went to the grocery store. Completed the household tasks I wanted to get done, now ending the night with some Chaos Shuffle and Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals 🤘🏼
My vendetta against FLA is definitely leftover from last year 🤣 Like we can't let them win again 😆
I'm not typically an Oilers fan, but I'll root for anyone who is playing against the Panthers. 🤣🤣

Made a cup of chamomile tea and did a short free writing exercise. Also decided to find a super old written piece of mine and give it a read through to see if I can repurpose/rewrite it. If the bones are good anyway

if you cannot be bothered to write a book and put your heart and soul into it - why the fuck would i be bothered to spend my time and money on it?
Been feeling a reading slump coming on. 🥲😮💨
Had a little too much self care today. 😅 #booksky
February's Wrap Up
Haven't been super active on social media, but I have done a lot of reading. Enjoyed some really good ones this month. 💗

So tired of people being pressed on what other people read (w/ some exceptions) especially when they’re dogging on genres like romance and romantasy and other genres where the target audience tends to be women 🤔 #booksky
sometimes my brain moves faster than my thumbs 😭 and I don't always skim like I should before I post
Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer
