1. Tactical Breach Wizards
This was easily my favorite game. I love turn-based tactics games, I like wizards, and I really liked defenestration. It has an amazing art style and writing. It's fun, it's funny, I recommend everyone play it. Seriously just play this game. 10/10.
2. Baldur's Gate 3
I played this game for almost two months straight and I didn't even beat it because I spent so much time doing side quests and wanting to fully explore each area. It's great and someday I'm going to replay it again to actually finish it. This game truly raises the bar for RPGs.
3. Vampire Survivors
This game scratches an itch in my brain like almost no other game I've played. It bumped Abiotic Factor out of third place. I'm sure this game will be receiving a lot more of my attention than it should going into 2025.

Before I get into my top 3, I must mention Circuit Superstars and Abiotic Factor. I played these games with friends and I had an amazing time playing them. My recap would not be complete without recognizing them.

More than any other show, this one made me want to write; so I will definitely be rewatching it in 2025 with a more critical eye to try learn from this form of storytelling. I binge watched the whole season in just a couple of sessions. 10/10, must watch.
1. Why Women Kill (season 1)
Oh. My. God. This show is an absolute must watch. The writing. The casting. The cinematography. I loved absolutely everything about this show. I haven't watched season 2 yet, so I can’t comment on that but season 1 is seriously a masterpiece.

2. The Great
This is the show that pulled me back into the world of TV and spurred the first streaming-service sign up of the year. I love period pieces, I loved the cast, and it was very engaging. It was so fun to watch and reminded me that TV is a legit storytelling medium in its own right.

3. Ghosts
Oh this show made me laugh. It's a fun premise and it's a lightweight easy watch that's almost guaranteed to have at least one laugh per episode. And that's coming from someone who doesn't laugh a lot.
1. Little Foot Big Foot by Childish Gambino ft. Young Nudy
Donald Glover is just an absolutely stunning artist in every facet. The song itself is a re-release and is great on its own, but the thing that nets it my top spot for the year is the accompanying music video.
2. Three Kobolds in a Trenchcoat by Chase Noseworth
This song snuck in towards the end of the year but I was rolling the first time I heard it. It's so catchy and so fun and it instantly became my new go-to silly pick-me-up song ever since I heard it. I highly recommend everyone listen to it.

3. The Tale of the Lesbian Hunter by Vinny Marchi
This was a fun little earworm and I love a song with a story. It's a fun play on words and the only new music I heard that inspired me to create something, so it definitely makes the top three.
Since I don't have a reading top 3, I'd like to record the 3 best games I played this year and the 3 best shows I watched. However because of who I am as a person, obviously I will need to include another topic to make it 3 lists of 3. So without further ado, here are my 2024 top 3 Top Three's.
2024 was a break from the norm for me.I bought a desktop computer at the beginning of this year and signed up for several streaming services throughout it. Needless to say the amount I read this year plummeted, but I returned to the world of games and visual media to great delight.
I suppose that is the difference between a for profit and nonprofit. Running a company that makes a few billion a year and gives most of that to its CEO and higher ups would be viewed quite different than running a company that makes a few billion a year and gives most of it to charities.
Or at least, that was the impression I took away from reading A Beautifully Foolish Endeavor.
I think if 500 million people sent him $2 each tonight, he wouldn't keep it for himself because he understands that having that much power consolidated in one individual is actually a pretty bad thing for the world.
-2/2- The idea is to let your service be a channel through which that mass amount of money can flow back out into the world. Ideally in an outflow that is distributed fairly and generously to the workers and all excess after that directed to the areas/causes/communities which need support the most.
Even if good.store became the #1 retailer in the country was raking in the cash, I don't think anyone involved would themselves become a billionaire. Because to take and horde that amount of money is what is most unethical. -1/2-
As far as the decision makers... well thus is the importance of robust public education, active participation in voting, and implementing stricter mandates and anti-corruption policies on our lawmakers.
Plenty of good people do start companies (consider Good.Store or Newman's Own, companies that give their profits to charity). However the "good guys" who start companies are at a disadvantage because they are unlikely to participate in the exploitative practices that prioritize profits over people.
And I would say Microsoft, MrBeast, and Taylor Swift all are problematic and to some degree unethical.
He did not make his billion through individual sales to 500 million people, but through the sale of his game to Microsoft.

This would never happen and no billionaire has attained that status through the sale of art. I believe you have fallen to the fallacy of irrelevant conclusion.
Best writing advice on why as a writer you shouldn't overthink your drafts. It's just a draft: you can rework it but not a blank page. So pick your devil wisely.
I love the idea of lunar based sales.
